I am heading to Albuquerque, NM today to keynote a GEAR UP Girls in STEM event and I couldn’t be more excited for the future of STEM, the future of these girls, and the future of our company. As I reflect on what I will be sharing with these middle school students from across the state of New Mexico, I am humbled by where we started, where we are now, and where we’re headed. We have some exciting news coming soon, so stay tuned!
STEM Isn’t Always Straight Lines. Which road are you going to help your students see today?

April is “Artemis II” Month, marking humanity’s exciting return to the moon and eventual stepping stone to Mars. It’s inspiring a whole new generation of explorers. How can your students be part of it?
Incorporate core subject content into your classes with our “Should We Return to the Moon?” app development project!
Your students will use Math, Science, ELA, and Social Studies skills to create an informational app that examines whether the Artemis mission was a success and determines whether we should continue to explore space. Gold stars all around!

MAD-learn’s virtual summer internships are available for students in grades 7-12. Our internships offer hands-on experience in technology, marketing, event planning, and customer success. Students work on real projects, build practical skills, and explore career paths, all while gaining confidence and clarity about their future.
Any student who has created an app using MAD-learn is eligible to apply.Learn more about our internship application process here, and check out our Intern Insights video to hear directly from our interns.

We were able to experience the western region of the country this month! We loved visiting the Pacific Northwest for a GEAR UP app camp at Ephrata HS in majestic Washington state.

We also traveled to beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah, for the ACTE Region V conference!

Four amazing teachers from different grade bands and content areas shared their incredible, unique ideas during our annual Teacher Takeover event, proving that design thinking is truly content-agnostic. Don’t miss the ideas and phenomenal presentations below. And if you want to be a presenter at a future Teacher Takeover event, make sure you email success@mad-learn.com to get on the list!

We’re excited to shine a spotlight on Jill Adler, one of our newest MAD-learn teachers- and what a debut it has been! In just a quarter, this Library Media Specialist at St. Anthony’s High School in Huntington, NY, has hit the ground running, guiding students through the design thinking process and helping them build their very first apps. We love seeing the creative designs of her students’ apps and how excited she is to bring new experiences to her classroom. Great work, Jill!

..entering our annual MAD-app Contest! You and your students have a chance to win great prizes and get recognized on a national stage.
Deadline is May 5 so APPLY TODAY!
