“We exist to help more of us exist in the world. Our goal and our passion is to empower students, especially girls to get into technology and to learn how to create and develop their own ideas into real products…”

 ~Alefiya Master, Founder/CEO

2019 was an amazing year for our 6 year old company, MAD-learn. Notable among our achievements was being named winner of the Gold Stevie® Award in the Best New Product of the Year category in the 16th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business. At a ceremony held in New York City to receive the prestigious award on behalf of the entire team was Founder/CEO Alefiya Master. What an exciting climax to the year!

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, employees, and the companies they run– worldwide.  The Stevie Awards have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards were presented to winners during a dinner event attended by more than 550 people at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.  The event was broadcast via Livestream.

More than 1,500 entries were submitted this year for consideration in more than 90 categories, including Executive of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Company of the Year, Best New Product of the Year, Women Helping Women, and Women Run Workplace of the Year.  MAD-learn won in the Best New Product of the Year- Consumer Products category. Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 150 business professionals around the world, working on eight juries.

It is an absolute honor to have been recognized for our focus of bringing the concepts and tools of app development to K-12 students by enabling them to build their very own mobile apps. Currently serving over 30,000 students across 30 states and 5 countries, our aim is to expand even further in order to enrich the lives of more students and teachers with our design-thinking program. Being a millennial, minority, woman educator turned entrepreneur who is passionate about ensuring that there are more people like her in the world, MAD-learn’s CEO and Founder is a driving force for 21st century technology literacy which teaches students vital and transferable skills that will enable them to gain experience with problem identification and solution. Alefiya often speaks about the concept of #beapreneur and the importance of taking any ideas or interests that you have and creating solutions to solve problems that exist within them.

Congratulations to all our fellow Stevie Award Winners. As a team, we are very excited about what this new decade holds and we look forward to sharing our success and passion with the world!
